See feared predators in a shark cage dive for the ultimate adrenaline rush or just enjoy the action from the deck, on a day trip to Gansbaai. No previous diving experience is necessary and equipment plus instruction will be provided.
Avoid the crowds and explore at your own pace with a friendly, professional tour guide in an upmarket air-conditioned vehicle. We take the scenic route up Sir Lowry's Pass with a coffee stop at the top and then on to Gansbaai harbour where the boat departs.
After the boat trip, we drive back to Cape Town along the picturesque Gordon's Bay sea route This round trip is a must for first time visitors to the Cape Peninsula.
Drop off at your accommodation at the end of a great experience.
* NB - the cost of the shark dive experience is extra (R2790 per person). The boat trip is not private - passenger capacity approximately 30.

This experience was by far the best I’ve had on the many international trips I’ve take. Our tour guide, Mike, was the nicest, funniest and most knowledgeable person we met in Capetown. Mike was telling us facts about Capetown and history of SA from the minute we were picked up till he dropped us off. He was an excellent driver and made it his goal to be safe, while making sure we all had the best time of our lives and we did! I would recommend not only this package, but Mike as your tour guide for anything you do in Capetown. The whole time I felt safe with him and had a blast. Thank you so much for that great experience Mike! I will never forget this day and will be telling everyone back home to ask for you.

Born in Africa tour guides are beyond wonderful. Super responsive, helpful, and great communicators. Shark diving is also a once in a lifetime experience too.

This was an outstanding experience start to finish. Our guide picked us up punctually in Cape Town, and our ride to Gansbaai was comfortable. The handoff to the shark diving tour was seamless and smooth. The actual diving was amazing. We saw 7-8 copper sharks repeatedly. Incredible. Ride home with our guide, Dave, was smooth again. He was an excellent source of information and warm conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Highly recommend!
Shark Diving and More!

Mike was very prompt for the early morning pickup and attentive to our needs for the shark diving adventure. He kept our bags safe while we went out on the boat to see the sharks in the area. The great white sharks aren't promised, but we did see many sharks that were very close to the cage!! After diving, Mike took us on a scenic ride back and stopped at a winery for a tasting because we had expressed interest. We also stopped to pet the cheetahs at the Cheetah conservation. A very special time in Cape Town and a highly recommended Born in Africa tour company and Mike the guide.
Great Tour but a little misleading

We got to see sharks which was awesome! It was so much fun. Our tour guide was so nice and knowledgable. They really went to of our way to make sure we were happy. However, it did say in the description in the tour that we would also stop at one of three places either a vineyard, a hike or visit penguins. We didn't do any of that nor was that even offered to us. It was a long day because the shark place was 2.5 hours away, however I would have preferred that it wasn't even in the description then. I was looking forward to either the penguins or the hike. That was the only downside.
