Stoked Surf’s mobile surf school offers you a hassle-free surf experience by collecting you from the city in our surf van and taking you to the beach with the best conditions of the day of your booking. Our experienced and qualified coaches will take you through the basics of paddling, standing up and water safety before getting you into the surf so you can give it a go yourself. We’ll provide you with quality equipment so that you’re comfortable in the Atlantic waters and also take snapshots of your lesson which we will share with you.

- Participants average clothing size (S, M, L or XL) MUST be advised at time of booking
- Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas
- Surfing offers exposure to Vitamin D and fresh air whilst enjoying nature. The physical and mental health benefits of getting into the ocean especially during the stressed times we are all currently living in are reason enough to book a surf lesson today!

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

After a small warm up session and insights how to handle the board in the water, how to get up and the safety instructuions you feel pretty good prepared once you are on the board!
Booking several classes means that the teacher remembers your surfing progress and responds to it very precisely every lesson to push your surf skills to the next level.
It was so much fun and we will definitely book with stoked next time again!

I've put this review on Google but it's worth repeating. I'm a 38 year old guy who was doing zero exercise before I started with Michelle and her team. I just managed to fit into the x-large wetsuit which comes with the lessons.
A couple of weeks later, I was standing up - this was a fantastic feeling. Today (less than a month after I started), I zipped myself up in my own wetsuit, one size down! But the best part is, I've got a skill now for the rest of my life. Surfing is like riding a bicycle and the Stoked team are professionals who'll teach you how to do it properly from the get-go. It was so easy to organize, website good, comms brilliant and personal.
I really recommend it - if a lazy guy like me can do it, you definitely can too. Thanks to M and the whole team!

Such an inclusive and welcome group of experienced tutors who managed to get my whole family (40yr old parents, 9&11yr old girls) all new to surfing, popping up on waves with 1 lesson. In fact they were so good we rebooked for a further 2 sessions before having to fly home. Big thanks to Michelle and her team. You can’t go wrong with Stoked Surf SA! Throughly recommended

Michelle embodies what a great teacher should be. A truly fantastic experience - knowledgeable and funny. A super well traveled lady who has forgotten more about surfing than most will ever know. We loved every minute. Came to Cape Town with zero surfing ability - my wife and I left standing tall (but not too tall on the board) and a new friend to share our surfing adventures with from here on out. Riding the 2023 wave from here, should be easy!
